The
two
have
signed
a
memorandum
of
understanding
(MoU)
that
will
also
see
them
form
a
joint-venture
company
to
make
solar
trackers
for
use
at
the
projects
they
build.
No
timeframe
is
given
for
the
1GW
target.
Under
the
terms
of
the
MoU,
GCL
will
arrange
project
finance
and
engineering,
procurement
and
construction
services
for
the
new
plants.
The
Chinese
group
will
also
provide
all
the
wafers
and
“a
portion”
of
the
cells
used.
Isofoton
will
supply
the
modules
for
the
plants,
as
well
as
PV
and
high-concentrating
PV
(HCPV)
solar-tracker
equipment.
