UK's July solar FIT cut may be delayed, hints Energy Secretary

The UK government says it may push back the date for a further cut to its feed-in tariff (FIT) for small-scale solar installations.

Energy and Climate Change Secretary Ed Davey told the House of Commons he was considering a “tweak” to the schedule for the next FIT reduction, currently due on 1 July, but that any delay would not be a long one.

The new reduction would follow a March cut of more than 50% to £0.21/kWh that had already been imposed on the tariff for PV installations up to 4kW.
