real
estate
company
in
Mexico,
and
Synergy
Technologies,
a
US
energy
developer,
are
planning
a
450MW
CPV
project
near
the
city
of
Tecate,
just
south
of
the
US-Mexico
border.
Construction
on
the
first
50MW
increment
is
to
begin
late
this
year.
Grupo
Musa
,
which
owns
the
project
site,
intends
to
consume
most
of
the
output
of
this
initial
phase
at
its
various
facilities.
Synergy
Technologies
chief
executive
Matt
Piell
says
his
company
selected
high-efficiency
CPV
technology
to
reduce
the
amount
of
equipment
used
in
the
project
