The
power
purchase
agreements
(PPA),
which
still
require
approval
from
the
California
Public
Utilities
Commission,
represent
a
first
win
for
BrightSource’s
SolarPLUS
storage
technology
and
“the
biggest
set
of
contracts
in
the
world
for
energy
storage”,
says
chief
executive
John
Woolard.
The
new
PPAs
cover
six
BrightSource
power
tower
plants,
replacing
earlier
agreements
to
build
seven.
But
increased
efficiencies
from
the
company’s
next-generation
taller
towers,

as
increased
capacity
factors
from

addition

to
part
of
