Despite
excellent
irradiation,
Duke
Energy’s
14MW
Blue
Wing
project,
which
came
on
line
last
November,
is
the
state’s
only
large
solar
facility
to
date.
This
year,
SunEdison
acquired
the
US
division
of
Fotowatio
Renewable
Ventures
(FRV),
which
was
developing
the
30MW
Webberville
solar
project
24km
outside
the
state
capital,
Austin,
and
a
10MW
PV
scheme
in
west
Texas.
SunEdison’s
director
of
utility
projects,
John
Lichtenberger,
says
the
Webberville
project
will
be
operational
next
month.
It
will
use
a
ground-mounted,
single-axis
tracking
system,
and
comprise
127,000
panels
from
