Ukraine on fast-track to finish largest solar plant at 80MW

Austrian developer Activ Solar is on track to have the largest solar farm in the Ukraine in full production by the end of the year, with the 80MW Ohotnikovo development moving into phase three of its construction.

The ground-mounted PV project, located in the Crimea, is split into four phases. The first 20MW was grid-connected last month, with the follow-on 20MW now being commissioned. Activ says the development’s construction is being fast-tracked.

The company also says it has completed a 20MW PV installation located near the village of Perovo in the Crimea region of Ukraine
