SunEdison has finalized the sale of its 20MW (ac) Adobe Solar Facility located 80 miles northwest of Los Angeles to Southern Company and Turner Renewable Energy.
Financial terms of the transaction were not
SunEdison on Monday announced it had
connected the plant to the grid.
SunEdison developed and built the solar PV
plant, which will reach full commercial operations next month, and will also
manage, operate and maintain it.
Southern and Turner have contracted all
electricity from Adobe over 20 years to utility Southern California Edison.
Adobe is the fourth solar PV project that
SunEdison has built for the Southern-Turner Renewable Energy partnership. The
others are 30MW (ac) Spectrum in Nevada, 20MW (ac) Apex in Nevada and 2.5MW
(ac) Granville in North Carolina.
