ReneSola has announced plans to open a branch office in Panama to oversee sales throughout South America and the Caribbean.
The new office in the city of Colon will distribute products such as PV modules, inverters and mounting systems throughout the region.
It will help the Zheijiang, China-based manufacturer capitalise on Latin America’s “immense growth potential,” ReneSola Panama general manager Rogelio Puerta said in an online statement. In December, the New York-listed company revealed plans to supply modules for a rooftop project in Lerma, Mexico.
And in August, it announced a deal to supply 29MW of PV modules to solar developer Saferay for a utility-scale plant in Chile’s Atacama Desert.
