Located in Southern California, it will be EDPR’s first solar project in the US.
Acquired last year from Lincoln Renewable Energy, the project has 20-year power purchase agreements (PPA) with Southern California Edison and is expected to be finished in 2014.
EDPR, majority-owned by Portugal’s EDP and a major wind-power operator, is trying to diversify its growth by embracing other renewable technologies.
