The new plant instantly quadruples Mexico’sinstalled PV capacity, helping it towards its 35%  renewable energy share target by 2026.

Located in La Paz, Baja CaliforniaSur, the project was backed by local development bank Nafin and the InternationalFinance Corporation (IFC).

Martifer handled EPC at the plant andwill be responsible for Operation and Maintenance (O&M) services.

Aura Solar uses more than 132,000 ground-mountedPV modules supplied by China's Suntech, and is expected to provide enough power to supply more than 160,000people.
