Fluor to build 45MW Centinela phase

Last September Fluor was awarded a lump-sum EPC contract forCentinela by the developer LS Power and a notice-to-proceed for the 125MW firstphase.

Fluor broke ground at the project, located 145km east of SanDiego in California’s Imperial County, in December.

China’s Yingli Solar was named module supplier, in a dealmarking its largest-ever order.

“This is a significant project for Fluor and we are verypleased to be able to build on our relationship with LS Power,” says MattMcSorley, senior vice president of Fluor’s Power Group.
