Canadian Solar said the EPC deal is with Grand Renewable Solar, a project company owned by Samsung Renewable Energy to develop large-scale wind and solar in the province’s Haldimand County.
The deal is expected to be worth about C$310m ($301m) to Canadian Solar. Work will begin in the third quarter of 2013 with the plant expected to be fully operational during 2015.
