The German group said it will dissolve its Denver-based unit Aleo Solar North America and “withdraw from business in the US”.
Aleo said: “The move was triggered by the fact that despite a year-on-year increase in sales, the US operation had failed to meet recent sales targets and was not operating profitably.”
When Aleo released its first half financial figures in August, the company said that the US was the only candidate for near-term volume growth among its core markets – growth that it will now apparently not see.
