The dealwill see Hanwha Q-Cells – the new version of the company since its acquisitionby the South Korean conglomerate – build at least four of the projects.

Three yearsago Q-Cells teamed up with ATS Automation – at the time the owner of PVmanufacturer Photowatt – to bid on PV projects allocated in the wake ofOntario’s landmark Green Energy Act.

The jointventure, known as Ontario Solar PV Fields, ultimately won nearly 70MW ofcapacity, or 10% of the programme’s total.
