Goldwind US boss goes to solar

Goldwind USA has seen its CEO depart to become finance chief of a California-based solar developer.

Tim Rosenzweig left the US unit of the Chinese wind group to become chief financial officer of SolarReserve.

Rosenzweig set up Goldwind USA in 2010  to serve as a platform for the wind turbine manufacturer’s ambitions in the Americas.

Before that he was a co-founder of development giant First Wind.

SolarReserve CEO Kevin Smith said: "Tim's proven leadership skills, senior management experience and expertise in domestic and international finance will be a tremendous addition to our executive team."
