Abankruptcy trustee for Michigan-based PV manufacturer Energy Conversion Devices(ECD) filed the $950m lawsuit in a US district court earlier this month.

The trustclaims ECD’s business suffered because Trina, Yingli and Suntech fixed pricesand dumped low-cost PV modules in the US market.

The claimsare “baseless” and Trina “will vigorously defend itself,” said the company,based in eastern China’s Jiangsu province.

In October2012, failed US solar startup Solyndra filed a $1.5bn
