Recurrent and its parent, Canadian Solar, did not release terms of the deal with General Electric Energy Financial Services.

"GE is a widely respected renewable energy investor and we are proud to begin this partnership for the Astoria project," says Shawn Qu, chief executive of Canadian Solar, which is based in Guelph, Ontario.

GE’s Power Conversion unit is supplying 46 1500V inverters for Astoria, which is due to enter full commercial operation in fourth quarter 2016.
