The country will probably install between 9.8GW and 12.4GW of solar in 2017, it said.
"In terms of investment, 2015 was already the peak given the lag time between investment and project commissioning,” BNEF senior analyst Ali Izadi-Najafabadi told Recharge last week.
“From 2020 onwards, we expect Japan's PV market to be limited to rooftop installations driven by self-consumption from residential and commercial and industrial segment.”
