Mitsubishi Electric in 13MW deal

Mitsubishi Electric will provide PV modules, inverters and remote monitoring equipment for a 13.2MW utility-scale solar project in western Japan.

It will supply 50,554 monocrystalline modules for the installation, which will be built on a former golf course in Tadewara, Nagasaki prefecture.

Nagasaki Tadewara Solar LLC, a special-purpose company (SPC) established by Mitsubishi group unit Diamond Solar Japan, construction firm Toda, and Mitsubishi UFJ Lease & Finance, expects construction to be completed by April 2015.

A Mitsubishi Electric spokesperson declined to reveal additional details.

In December, Tokyo-based Mitsubishi Electric agreed to supply PV modules for a 39.3MW project that Eurus Energy is developing in Awaji, Hyogo prefecture.

It is also providing 78.9MW of panels for another Eurus Energy project in Aomori prefecture, northern Japan.
