The long-term debt facility amounts to€30m ($41.3m), with BSTDB providing €10m infinancing and EBRD €20m.

No details were given regarding the project timelines of the plants, located in Oltenia in the southern region of Romania.

Headquartered in Thessaloniki, Greece, BSTDB marks its first support solarenergy project in the Black Sea region with the finance.  

Current solar capacity in Romania is 1.16GW, providing electricityto over 100,000 homes in the country, EDPR said.
