The 40MW Chanares plant, meanwhile, will be built adjacent to the under-construction 36MW Diego de Almagro PV plant, EGP’s first in Chile.
All three solar farms are located in northern Chile.
Italy-based EGP, which already owns and operates 180MW of wind capacity in Chile, did not reveal which kind of modules it will employ at the $110m Lalackama and $70m Chanares projects.
