The 19-acre Solar Park Konigsbronn — situated on a former military base in Konigsbronn, Heidenheim district — started supplying electricity to 3,000 homes on 23 May.

ReneSola provided 40,000 of its Virtus II polycrystalline modules for the project, which is the largest solar plant in the state of Baden-Wurttemberg, the New York-listed company said in an online statement.

Earlier this week, ReneSola – China’s fifth biggest PV module manufacturer – shrugged off concerns about the preliminary duties the US recently imposed on most PV cells and panels produced in China, saying that it has already secured a sizable but undisclosed order for a ground-mount installation in New Jersey.
