GT Advanced has signed a deal with QSE to deliver its HiCz 200 monocrystalline furnace to the Doha plant, which spans research to module-making and which the Qatari venture hopes to expand from an opening 300MW production capacity to up to 2.5GW.
GT Advanced said the HiCz 200 is expected “to produce high quality n-type wafers for solar cells with efficiencies that exceed 22%" in Qatar.
