Malaysia's largest PV project online

Amcorp Power has commissioned the 10.3MW PV plant in Gemas, Negri Sembilan, southwestern Malaysia, the country’s largest solar facility.

The farm utilizes more than 40,000 Yingli solar modules that the Chinese vendor estimates will generate 13.6 million kWh of electricity per year.

Yingli and Amcorp formed a partnership in March 2013 that may lead to further solar projects in the country.

The Malaysian government is promoting renewable energy development with an emphasis on biomass and solar to a lesser extent.
