House Bill 2427 requires to the extent available that IPA obtain 50% of the RECs from distributed solar devices of less than 25kV nameplate capacity, a move aimed at helping promote residential panel installations.
Distributed solar energy contracts must be a minimum five years and IPA needs to use third parties to aggregate the power from these multiple sources.
