Conergy buys 166MW UK portfolio

PV group Conergy has acquired portfolio rights to £200m ($340m) worth of solar projects in the UK with a combined potential capacity of 166MW from British developer Lumicity.

The portfolio, "at various stages of development", was acquired through Conergy subsidiary Wirsol Solar UK.   

Hamburg-based Conergy is also due to start construction on a 21MW solar PV plant in the in the suburbs of Bristol, the largest city in southwest England, which will be built by Conergy UK& Ireland.

The Bristol project, due to be connected in November this year, brings Conergy's capacity additions built or under construction in the UK to 126MW for the year to date, including a 37MW plant for European utility RWE.
