Deutsche Bank to lend $1bn in Japan

Deutsche Bank will lend roughly $1bn to support the development of PV in Japan, according to recent reports.

The Frankfurt-based group told Bloomberg this week that it will offer funds to build between three and six solar plants over the next year and a half.

It did not reveal the interest rates for the loans or specific project details.

Last month, Deutsche Bank provided Gestamp Solar with a ¥11.1bn ($109.6m) non-recourse loan to finance construction of a 31.6MW solar project in Ibaraki prefecture, Japan.
