The $2.5m rooftop 800kW system at the Prologis Concorde Distribution Center in Sterling, Virginia, follows similar installations at Canon Industrial Resource Technologies in Gloucester and Old Dominion University in Norfolk.

When fully implemented, the Solar Partnership Program will generate power for as many as 7,500 homes.

"Our customers in Northern Virginia are focused on renewable energy and this installation reflects Dominion's commitment to understanding how solar power can fit into our generation mix," says Ken Barker, vice president of customer solutions at Dominion.
