Eco Energy gets OK for 11MW PV
UK developer Eco Energy World has received planning consent for its 11.47MW Tyle'r-fedwen solar farm from the Neath Port Talbot Planning and Development Control Committee in Wales.
Located in the Arfan valley in Wales, the solar farm will comprise of nearly 46,000 solar panels and once installed, it will generate enough energy to power around 3,500 average homes each year.
Councillors and council planning officers agreed on a range of conditions including limiting construction deliveries to weekdays outside school gate hours.
In addition, the applicants are committing a Community Fund of £10,400 ($18,000) a year, for the 25 year life of the project.
"The approval of this new solar farm near Cwmafan will allow us to work alongside Neath Port Talbot County Borough delivering green investment and providing clean renewable energy where it will make a real difference" says Svante Kumlin from Eco Energy World.
