Bluefield buys more UK PV
London-based Bluefield Solar Income Fund has entered into binding contracts to buy two large-scale solar plants totalling 14.5MW, to be constructed in southwest England.
The solar plants, with 8.5MW capacity in Devon and 6MW in Somerset, are the eleventh and twelfth acquisitions made by the fund in a year, said Bluefield.
Contracts have been signed with Germany's Juwi for a total of £15m ($24m) that will see its UK subsidiary, Juwi Renewable Energies, build the plants and cover ongoing operation and maintenance (O&M).
The facilities are expected to qualify under the 1.4 Renewable Obligation Certificate regime (ROC).
