Thus far, the US thin-film PV specialist has only sold modules in India.
It will develop two projects — a 25MW site and a 20MW installation — in Mahabubnagar, in the southern Indian state of Telangana, First Solar spokesperson Deepali Girdhar tells Recharge.
It expects to finish the two solar plants by May 2015.
The projects will generate enough electricity to supply 92,000 households, to be sold over a 20-year period to regional utility Southern Power Distribution at roughly 6.49
