Sunnova raises $110m for growth

Sunnova Energy raised an additional $110m to expand its residential rooftop solar PV business in 23 US states and territories and into new markets, after securing $145m in June for the same purpose.

"We are seeing huge customer growth as more customers recognize the value of choosing Sunnova's power service over existing utilities and over other solar service providers," says chief executive William J. Berger.

He did not identify the source of financing or provide additional information.

The company, based in Houston, offers homeowners solar energy via leases or power purchase agreements.

Sunnova last month announced expansion into the US Virgin Islands and that Enphase Energy will be its exclusive inverter supplier in the Caribbean Region.
