Hareon unveils 600MW solar plan
Hareon Solar Technology continued its recent deal spree by signing a cooperative framework agreement with Switzerland's Tritec Power Engineering to build 600MW of PV throughout the world over the next three years.
The Chinese PV group — which earlier this month agreed to collaborate with Switzerland’s ILB Helios on the development of 6.27GW of solar capacity — plans to construct PV projects with Tritec in Switzerland, Germany, the UK, France, Chile and the US.
It will provide solar modules for the projects, while Tritec will handle EPC duties, according to a statement on the Shanghai stock exchange.
Hareon, based in the eastern Chinese city of Jiangyin, has announced a string of ambitious plans in recent weeks.
Earlier this week, it said it intends to develop 2.5GW of solar in Turkey and 600MW of rooftop PV capacity in China.
It also signed a strategic cooperative framework agreement this month with a unit of Seattle-based Northern Lights Capital to build roughly 150MW of PV in India.
