The MoU foresees SunEdison building a series of 500MW “mega-projects” in the state to help develop Rajasthan as “the global hub for solar energy”, a statement said.

The pact means SunEdison will play a big part in Rajasthan’s strategy to develop 25GW of solar over the coming years.

The SunEdison plants will supply power users within Rajasthan, as well as external organisations including Indian state-owned entities.
