Canada's MPT to acquire 20MW Ontario solar PV facility

The C$130m ($135m) project will be primarily funded by a syndicate of international lenders with approximately C$33 ($34.3m) to be contributed by MPT upon the start of commercial operations, which is anticipated for June 2011.

SunPower will design, build and operate the facility under a 20-year contract for MPT. When completed, it will be one of the largest solar power facilities in Canada.
