Belectric within fourmonths installed more than 1.5 million thin-film modules from First Solar and114 inverters from German manufacturer SMA.
The plant can meet the annualelectricity needs of 36,000 households.
"Power fromplants like this is the most economical method of generating from solarenergy,” claims Belectric CEO Bernhard Beck. “At present, we havealmost reached the power production cost-level of onshore wind.”
