The partners are the Kensani Group, an investment firm, and Intikon Energy, a developer of renewable energy projects.
Rand Merchant Bank was lead arranger and bookrunner for the project’s debt funding requirements, which were not made public.
Equity investment included $12m from Google and unspecified amounts from the Public Investment Corporation, Kensani Capital Investments, SolarReserve, Intikon, Development Bank of South Africa and the P.E.A.C.E.
