The project is the largest ever awarded by India’s state-ownedpower giant NTPC, said Tata Power Solar, which plans to commission the project in Rajgarhin March 2014.
The addition of the 50MW plant will at astroke double NTPC’s solar capacity. The power group is trying to expand itsrenewables portfolio to 1GW by 2017.
Tata Power Solar was called Tata BP Solaruntil mid-2012, when the UKoil giant exited the business as part of its wider retreat from the solarsector.
