Kaneka starts up 13MW PV plant

Industrial conglomerate Kaneka has started operating a 12.7MW solar plant in Ibaraki prefecture, Japan.

The project, located northeast of Tokyo near the city of Kashima, features Kaneka’s thin-film PV modules.

The plant will generate enough electricity to supply 3,000 households per year.

Osaka-based Kaneka said in a statement that it will continue to develop renewable energy projects in the future.
