Mastapha Bakoury, head of the Moroccan solar energy agency (Masen), said that the tendering process for the construction of the two plants would begin within the next few weeks.

Masen has picked parabolic trough technology for the 200MW plant (Noor 2), while the 100MW plant (Noor 3) will be built as a solar power tower. KfW has confirmed that it will lend €330m for Noor 2, and €324m for Noor 3.
