Last year Saint-Gobain, the world’s largest maker of glass and construction materials, purchased a 50% stake in German copper, indium, selenide (CIS) player Avancis, and immediately broke ground at a 100MW factory in Torgau.
Saint-Gobain says it will build an identical 100MW plant in Korea through a new joint venture with HHI, to be called Hyundai Avancis. Construction at the 220bn won ($196.8m)
