Switzerland-based Alstom Power, part of the huge French Alstom Group, will contribute its expertise in power plant construction and steam turbines to a business partnership with California’s BrightSource, which brings its power tower technology.
For Alstom, the move represents “a further step in Alstom’s commitment to solar thermal power, alongside its strong renewable power portfolio in hydro and wind power,” says Philippe Joubert, Alstom Power president, in a statement.
