The three-year deal will supply SunPower’s integrated, non-penetrating panel, frame and mounting system for installation on roofs in the Tuscon area. The utility intends to lease the rooftop space and own and operate the solar systems.
Energy from the systems will be connected to local distribution circuits.
The T5 Roof Tile panels to be used are tilted at a five-degree angle and provide about twice as much energy as comparably sized flat-mount systems.
