The new factory has the capacity to produce an annual 400MW of string inverters, used in residential and rooftop solar systems.
Zurich-based ABB has built an adjacent 25kW PV system to act as a test and demonstration site for inverters from the new plant. The company claims this is Estonia’s biggest rooftop solar installation.
An engineering support centre has also been built at the site, located in the town of Juri.
