BCE says the deal, currently a letter of intent, marks a milestone as it introduces a new business model for developing solar projects that are financed by manufacturers, rather than financial institutions, and without the use of power purchase agreements (PPAs).
More details of the agreement between BCE, an independent solar power producer, and Neo Solar Power, one of the largest cell producers in the world, will be revealed in the next few weeks, the companies say.
