Announcing the suspension of module production at its Silex Solar facility in New South Wales, the company claims Chinese competitors are selling into the Australian market at unfair discounts – but also blames its own government for axing PV support policies.

The suspension adds another 45 jobs to the 30 lost in August when Silex closed the plant’s cell manufacturing line in favour of importing components from China.
