Solarstrom intends to build the array with a local partner in Paiguano, some 500km north of the capital of Santiago, as a stepping stone to pursuing “large-scale projects” in the country from 2013.
The project will go up on unusable farmland, with most of the electricity to be used by the landowner, and the remainder to be sold onto the spot market.
