Aleo has operated the production facility in Gaomi since the end of 2008 in a 50/50 partnership with Chinese group Sunvim, but announced that the board of the venture has decided to dissolve it.
“Production will be shut down soon,” says Aleo, which is majority-owned by German engineering giant Bosch.
The company says 246 employees will be affected by the closure of the plant, which produced modules under the Avim brand name and had a 90MW annual capacity.
