SB Energy – Softbank’s clean energy unit – and Mitsui could set up the project in Tottori prefecture, a spokesman for Softbank tells Bloomberg.
The project will cost about 10bn yen ($123m), according to Bloomberg, citing the Asahi newspaper. The companies plan to start operating the project around summer in 2013 if they decide to proceed with it, adds the spokesman.
