Suntech chief commercial officer Andrew Beebe says he expects the US market to grow by 50% this year to about 3GW, but notes that the outcome of the SolarWorld-inspired anti-dumping investigation could have a significant effect on the overall market size.
Many US installers have opposed the investigation, arguing that slapping countervailing duties on China-made PV modules would inflate the price for consumers – pushing grid-parity further away.
